Cops Still Need Help Solving a Murder

Mankato Department of Public Safety and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension continue to investigate Poth Acouth case. Acouth was killed just before 2 a.m., April 20, 2014 during an altercation in parking lot of the Kato Balllroom parking lot, where Acouth had attended a Sudanese cultural event following a basketball tournament at Minnesota State University prior to the shooting.

Students Put Math Skills to the Test

South Central Service Cooperative in conjunction with Math Masters of Minnesota hosted the 2015 Regional Math Masters Competition at Bethany Lutheran College March 6. More than 240 fifth grade students from 44 teams representing 20 area schools participated. Students competed individually and as teams on eight sets of mathematical problems.
