The Minnesota Brawlers semi-pro football team prepares for its upcoming season with games scheduled in the Mankato area and elsewhere. Head Coach Trever Coxworth said the team could have national potential this year. The team has moved into a new elite northern league and has stepped up its volunteering game in the community with a special United Way partnership as well. The team has several former Minnesota State University Mavericks on its roster.

Mankato, MN (Mankato Gazette Newspaper) - The Minnesota Brawlers, a semi-professional football team that plays exhibition and Northern Elite Football League sanctioned games in the area on fields in Mankato, Saint Peter, Madelia, Burnsville, etc. The team is now focusing a major effort on creating more value for the community and growing the team into a more mature asset for the Mankato area and for Minnesota. They recently volunteered with United Way at a local men's event at the Kato Ballroom.
